Implications

Now the fun part. This Implications section explores the real-world consequences of theories of consciousness on five profound and challenging questions—meaning/purpose (if any), free will, AI consciousness, virtual immortality, and life or existence after death. To come: personal identity, value, what things are conscious, perhaps ethics. All these questions, I [RLK] submit, cannot be explored, much less answered, except in the light of particular theories of consciousness.
